Why is Facebook almost 6x's more popular than Myspace?

For the love of god! Myspace has improved drastically over the last year, during which time I had abandoned Facebook completely for being the worst social network platform in existence. I recently discovered FB receives a whopping 5X's the traffic MSP does! (according to Alexa) So, I signed back up with FB, and it's still the same stupid crap, but more of it. (stupid lost cows, buying each other as pets, people removing bugs, all this imaginary crap, that EVEN ADULTS USE!) Someone please tell me. What on earth am I not seeing here that more than 20% of www users do?
