KRK Rokit:good speakers for computer as in loudness/clarity?

So i'm looking to get some new computer speakers.Do the KRK Rokits work as regular computer speakers,or are they just for recording?And another question.I'll probably setup a small recording studio.Will these be good for recording and listening to rock music?
