Spiritually Speaking, why did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah but not Mary Magdalene?

Sodom and Gomorrah were cities, not people. God supposedly destroyed every man, woman, and child in them regardless of their ual leanings. Fortunately it is just a fairy tale. Unfortunately, there are bigots out their who do think ity is worse than prostitution and who us the bible as an excuse for their hate.
