Sauteed mushrooms were kept at room temperature for two and a half hours, are they still safe to eat?

I know that 2 hours is the standard allowed time to leave food out, but I wasn't sure if it would be dangerous at all to eat mushrooms left out longer than that. Should I throw them out?
