What might have caused my computer to do this?

The only reason that would be happening is if you (or someone else) spilled water on the keyboard. One time, I spilled a tiny drop of water on my keyboard, and every time I pressed a key, about 4 keys around it would also type their letter into whatever I was typing, even though I never pressed them.
